It's been a while. A friend of mine from work was talking to me about blogs the other day. It's time to write a new post. Even if it is random and rambling. I think I almost always start blogs off with some sort of phrase like, "It's been a while." Maybe I should write more often. Meh.
As of tonight, my mind is on being outside. This is slightly odd, seeing as it has been 95 degrees or higher the past few days but, turns out, Oklahoma really is a beautiful state. I love being able to watch the sunset all the way until it dissapears below the wheat fields. The sun fills up the entire horizon here. I love and miss Colorado's mountains but, this place has a beauty of it's own. Which, shouldn't be a surprise seeing as it is on this wonderful planet that the Lord has made.
I've spent a lot of time camping the past few years: Tee Pee camp a few summers ago, our tent with no door in Mozambique, random trips with friends back in the big CO, and slightly "roughin' it" in Rwanda. There is a great feeling that comes from making fire, cooking a steak on a stick, and sleeping under the stars. It's powerful. I find it to be peaceful and eye opening.
I watched "Into the Wild" with my wonderful husband the other night. Great film. I really like it because there have been times where I just want to drop everything else in the world and go "live off the land." However, doing that would mean nothing without other people. Which, I think is the point of that film. If you haven't seen it, watch it. It's a true story.
I work with some wonderful people. I can truly say I like everyone that I work with, which I don't think happens for people that often. This weekend, we're going on a gals camping trip in Lone Wolf. I am stoked! In the words of Jessica, "Oh my lanta! We're going camping!" Pray that we have a blast, build friendship, and enjoy God's creation.

Have an amazing time camping friend! Nothin like some time with your girlfriends, nature, and the Lord. Enjoy being in His beauty. It's so amazing how He created the stars in the sky and the innumerable organisms on our planet! Let all that glory be His :)
